Johann Hebinck (John Habinck) 1825-1886

Johann Hebinck, born in Anholt (Germany)15-08-1825, son of  Bernhard Hebinck and Adelheid Fendrich,

immigrated the USA

He arrived in the port of New Orleans on May 14, 1849, aboard the ship Narganset

Johann (John) married Anna Lampe, born in Oldenburg (Germany) 12-08-1842,

also an immigrant from Westfalen

He appears on the 1870 census  as John Hebinck in Liberty Township, Dubuque County, IOWA

and is working as a blacksmith

By 1880 the same family appears in Clinton County, IOWA and the spelling of his last name has changed to Habinck
